Bi-yearly update (ha ha)

So I am a terrible blogger! I really should be more responsible. When I start something I should finish it. I have a desire to have a great and interesting blog, but alas it is suffering. In a nutshell the things that have happened.

Brad got married to Beth Fox, they adopted an english bulldog named Bruce. They love him he loves them and they are a happy family (sing the words).

Deanna married Cole Leavitt. They moved to Saskatoon so he could go to med school. Saskatoon is far away :(

Brian and Ginny had Wyatt and now Everett. I have two grandsons!! Crazy.

Brittany is about to Graduate from High School. She wants to move to Edmonton and go to school.

Rylan is playing the character Augustus Gloop in the play Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He sings really well.

Amelia is also in the play as an oompa loompa - she is cute! She did a really good job in gymnastics!

DJ now works for the County. He likes it alot. I am glad.

I was a cheerleading coach for Brittany's team. It turned out to be a great experience. One I hope was a once in a lifetime!

Now is the time when I should post something brilliant but I've got nothin. I will post again in a couple of years - maybe sooner if I can find my blog again.

The Fence

I am so happy that we finally have our fence back in place. It blew down in a really bad wind in the early part of 2007. Thanks to my Dad, we got the process going and then as DJ hobbled around and the neighbors pitched in, we have a great fence. I am so thankful for the skills of the people I know!

I guess I should add to the month's activities that Brittany was in the Cardston Community Theatre play - The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. She played the darling Becky Thatcher. We were very proud of her and thought she made a perfect Becky!

Annual Wal-mart Parking Lot Trip

Well, Brittany and I went down to Kalispell for our 2nd annual "bonding" trip. You know we talked about going longer and getting a hotel this year but alas the sleep in the car thing is a hoot and we wanted to do it again. We decided that perhaps next year we will go Saturday and camp. We can go to church in Kalispell and lay around and read on the Sabbath then shop on the Monday - good times - we'll see next year. The long weekend was warm and wonderful and full of family which is my favorite way to spend the time. Brittany and I just finished reading the book "As a Man Thinketh". It reminded us a lot of the Secret which we read last summer. Just confirms that we can control what we become bycarefully concentrating on the virtues we desire to have. I really liked the chapter on Serenety. It is something that I have always admired and an attribute I would like to develop.
To my girls that didn't get to come on the read trip this year - maybe more of us can go next year. Thanks to my wonderful DJ who helped us when we had car trouble and kept the home fires buring.

Life's a Party

Yesterday my oldest son turned 18. For some reason it doesn't seem like he should be that old. I remember when he was 7 and turned 8, for the longest time I still thought he was 7. Tomorrow my oldest daughter will turn 24. Where has the time gone? I watched home video from about 13 years ago when they were little. It was Brad's birthday and he got a new track suit and an action figure. He thought it was so great. Now a mother is at a loss as to what to buy her son - he has a truck, a phone, an x-box, an i-pod, nicer clothes than me..........How about luggage??? Ginny is going to be a mother that will make me a.... well you know. I enjoy my grown up children - they are fun and good people. Sometimes I miss that Brad used to Ruve (love) me and that Ginny played the piano every morning.
